A quick debrief from the PJ Pappa's team! All in all it was 4 great, hard days of riding with a few challenges along the way.

A few highlights of the ride:

Day 1 - Leaving in the dark with the stream of lights coming towards the Albert Town bridge. Having lunch with some of the other competitors just before the major climb of the day.

Day 2 - From the crisp start of the morning going through multiple river crossings was a great way to get the day underway. This was our biggest day riding till 10.00pm.

Day 3 - Arrived in the dark and left in the dark, not sure what the camp sight even looked like! Fun times up the Thompson's Saddle jostling with the wind at the gates.

Day 4 - One of the coldest mornings for the first 2 1/2 hours before we found the warm, heated public toilets in Tarras where we defrosted before the next major task - Grandview. Coming off Grandview and heading for the pie shop in Hawea knowing that bloody hill was behind us.

We have done many great adventures together over the years but this was one of the best that we will talk about for a long time.
